After graduating from Robert College in 1986, she graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Dentistry in 1991. She completed her doctorate in Marmara University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics in 1992. She received the title of Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2009 in the same department.

She served as the Head of the Department between 2014-2018. Between 2012-2018, she took part in the Executive Committee of the Turkish Orthodontic Society.

She still provides orthodontic treatment services to adolescents and adults in Prodenta Ataşehir and Suadiye dental clinics.

She is a member of the Turkish Orthodontic Society and the European Orthodontic Society.
